Some Magazine #16 - Action issue
For the 16th issue of Some Magazine, the theme Action required a visual and editorial concept that captures the urgency of a rapidly changing world. The challenge was to design a publication that not only discusses action, but embodies it — in pacing, typography, layout, and storytelling. As part of a rotating student design team, we were tasked with shaping the magazine's visual identity, producing all layouts, and contributing original written and photographic work that reflects the theme from different perspectives.

The result is a dynamic, research-driven publication produced in collaboration with Slanted Publishers. Together with Charlotte Klug, Mia Mahn and Paula Reschke, I formed the layout and art direction team responsible for the magazine’s overall visual language, typesetting, production workflow, and social media presence. We developed a design system that expresses tension, movement and agency — allowing each article to unfold its narrative while maintaining a cohesive editorial identity. Together with Charlotte Klug, I also contributed an article to the issue: “Fruits of Wrath,” a written and photographic exploration of female anger and the tension between powerlessness and action. The piece combines narrative writing, psychological research, survey insights, and a still-life photo series to translate emotional experience into visual and editorial form. The article appeared in Some Magazine #16—Action, in the 2nd issue of "Haptik Magazin" on the subject of Fühlen (feeling) as well as ISSUES: Contributions of Difficult Women by @evukmanstudio at LCC London.
